NB: Check out tonight's Tavis Smiley Reports on PBS. While you're on the website, take a look at the piece on Hillary Clinton. This is good stuff.

I guess you couldn't call tortilla pizzas a recipe, but rather a concept for cleaning out the fridge, getting everyone fed and keeping everyone happy all at once. It's a rare combination, and highly recommended.

Just take a whole wheat tortilla (or two) per person and cover it with what they like. We used varying amounts of cherry tomatoes, sausage, peppers and onions, olives, mushrooms, spinach and cheese. (No sauce; too wet.) Bake at 350 or 400 degrees until the tortillas are crisp.

Could this be simpler or more appealing? Here, let me take that one: No, it couldn't.

Not much else to report from soggy, rainy, flooding Boston.

Oh, one more thing: If you have any favorite simple, family-friendly recipes you're willing to share (with attribution and links), hit me. I need inspiration.
